Yes, this is what you have to do in Mongolia, if you arrive in Winter time or "Spring" time!
I couldn't believe that I was on frozen river finally!! A piece of my dream came true!

Beef Udon in UB

My first Japanese dish in Ulaanbaatar was this "Beef Udon" @ room service at hotel.
Noodle was ok. And I thought base of the broth was fine, but the beef broth as outcome was pretty much dominated by beef beef beef flavor...

International Women's Day

Soon after my arrival in Ulaanbaatar, there was a celebration of International Women's Day.
It is an internationally marked day to show respects and appreciations to women. And I learned that, especially in East Europe and former Soviet countries celebrate this event actively based on their historical experience related to their political will. So as Mongolia, as a nation which was pretty much influenced by former Soviet.

I was very happy to receive flowers and chocolate, which doesn't happen to me so often ;-)
